I'm still here

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween. We had a blast! I took the kids to a friends house and we all went trick or treating together. I loved that the holiday fell on a Friday and we didn't have to worry about the time, so much more fun that way!

So, I finally did a page last night and you would think it's of Halloween right? Nope, it's from July. The campground we stay at has an Olympics every year and it's one of our favorite days of the year. Our team came in first place which was great but the kids had so much fun they wouldn't have cared anyway. They worked their butts off and this picture was the end of the day when everyone was exhausted.

Don't they all look so proud? Such a great day, we're already looking forward to next year.

Happy Fall!

I cannot believe it's the end of September already! We'll be shopping for Halloween costumes before you know it. I love this time of year, most notably since it's my little guy's birthday.

Today is Adam's 7th birthday, I really wish he was a summer baby so we could spend the day together. Now that he's in school his birthday gets mixed into the chaos like most work/school days. I took a half day at work today and will surprise him at the bus stop and then we're taking him shopping and to dinner. We'll have his party on Sunday so he still has that to look forward to as well.

My mom came across this picture of Adam & Emily with Brandon who lives in our neighborhood. They were picking black raspberries, can you tell? Adam was still 2 years old here and still had his crazy curls.

Love this picture!

2 pages today

Soccer started a few weeks ago and then school so needless to say my free time is rare these days. Here is a layout I got done today in between laundry and cleaning the house. Since my little guy already has his orange belt I'd say I have some catching up to do on the karate pics.

I did this layout later tonight after the kiddo's were in bed. Two in one day!

Hope everyone has a great week. Thanks for stopping by.

Summer fun and the Threading Water punch

It's been a while since I blogged, normal day to day summer things are keeping us so busy. We had a great weekend last week. Emmy's friend spent the weekend with us, we went to a bunch of yardsales and pretty much stayed outside the whole 2 days. It's nice to stay close to home once in awhile. We'll probably go to the camper this weekend if the weather cooperates. We've had some wicked storms the last 2 days.

I found the Fiskars threading water border punch! It was right in front of me at AC Moore last week, I couldn't believe it. I've been on every wait list out there for this punch and there it was. I knew it was a little tricky but I was able to figure it out pretty quick but I do have some holes that look double punched. I created this layout of super cute, super sweet Carson. He is pulling himself up to standing now and I got this picture of him when we babysat last week. Hard to believe he's the same little preemie boy that was so fragile less than a year ago.

How cute is this kid? I love him to pieces.

Good night everyone.

A cool treat

We had a great weekend at the campground. It was Olympics weekend and the kids team won first place. It was super HOT though. The coaches handed out lots of ice pops and watermelon cut into little wedges just right for small hands which reminded me of this:

I came across this a while back and really love with it. I haven't quite figured out how to add a link yet but you can find this arrangement and lots of others at the Edible Arrangements web-site.

I would love to try to make one of these but I am certain it would not look even close to this.

Good night everyone.

Sweet Carson

Here are a couple of layouts of cutie Carson. I think he looks so much like his mom in the first one. For anyone that doesn't already know (but I'm pretty sure everyone knows since we say it every chance we get) Carson is without a doubt the happiest little guy I've ever known and I'm lucky enough to be his aunt.

I also have a layout of Carson and Jack done that I will share as soon as I get it scanned.

We love you little guy!

Happy 4th of July !

<
Wishing you all a happy and safe 4th of July!

We are staying close to home today and going to my mom's for a cookout later. We also have our traditional sparklers that we will do late tonight. Such a simple thing makes the kids so happy.

We'll head to the lake tomorrow for fireworks. They put on an awesomedisplay every year and it's really nice to sit and watch them over the water.

Here are a few shots of our vacation at the lake last week. We had such a fun, relaxing time.

And this one is what they were hunting for most of the week, crayfish. We had them by the bucket full and they are squirmy little critters. I'm so glad I can deal with crawly things, I'd be in real trouble if I couldn't!!
